During this time CJ began to develop a passion for strength training and rekindled a desire to compete in sports. This led him to a Fitness and Leadership Program at Sheridan College, where he also played for the Sheridan Bruins Men’s Volleyball Team in the CCAA (2013-2014). After moving to the west coast of British Columbia in 2015, he decided to continue his education at Capilano University to complete his degree in Kinesiology. There he also played 3 seasons with the Cap U Blues Men’s Volleyball Team (2017-2020), earning a PACWEST Bronze Medal in 2019, a PACWEST Gold Medal in 2020 followed by a CCAA National Gold Medal in the same year. During the 2020 championship season, CJ took on two roles. First, competing as a varsity athlete and secondly
creating and coaching the strength and conditioning program for his team.

Now, graduated he has continued to successfully coach individuals of all athletic abilities. Coach Ceej prides himself in his ability to develop movement skills by establishing a strong base of fundamental movement patterns and adapting drills to best suit the needs and capacities of his clients. CJ also provides strength programs for those dealing with injuries, collaborating with other allied health professionals. With the guidance of physiotherapists and other coaches, CJ has had great success in allowing individuals of all walks of life, to move with less pain and more freedom.

While “out of the office” CJ can be found playing beach volleyball in the KBVA tournament series at Kitsilano Beach or along the Sea-to-Sky Corridor skiing sweet lines, mountain biking hero dirt, and slabs, or hauling a tent around on his gravel bike.
