I have completed my Bachelor of Kinesiology specializing in Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology at the University of the Fraser Valley. My goal is to learn more about the different career options in this field and help encourage others to maintain their physical, emotional and cognitive well-being.

I am a former dancer and have taught children dance in the past which has inspired my passion for Kinesiology and sports injury. My personal interests are nutrition, sports psychology, physiotherapy, dance, and yoga. I most recently had the opportunity to intern at Fiji National Sports Commission while abroad and have experience in running wellness programs, training programs and collecting data within rural communities. Furthermore, I have experience working with older adults with physical and cognitive disabilities. Additionally, I have worked as the Campus Recreation and Wellness Assistant at the University of the Fraser Valley for the last two years. My role in this position included organizing and facilitating events and wellness programs for students and staff in person and virtually. I currently work as a Research Assistant for UBC in the Aging, Cognitive and Mobility Lab. Our lab's research focuses on how exercise can improve cognition in older adults. I have experience with conducting physical and cognitive assessments, including stress testing.

From my schooling, working and maintaining my own personal health and fitness I have proven to work well under deadlines that my time management skills have enabled me to balance. I am a hardworking, organized, and motivated individual with multi-tasking skills. I am patient, caring, and passionate about helping others be the best version of themselves. I plan to work as a Kinesiologist and attend the Physiotherapy program at UBC in the future.
