Hello, I'm Jason Duong, a BCAK certified Kinesiologist with a passion for helping individuals improve their quality of life. With a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University, I have developed a strong foundation in understanding the human body and its potential for improvement with active rehabilitation.

My journey began at Safeway, where I worked as a produce clerk for five years, developing a strong work ethic and interpersonal skills. However, my true calling emerged when I transitioned into the field of Kinesiology. During my time at SFU, I completed two enriching co-op experiences. Firstly, I worked as a rehabilitation assistant at a physio clinic, where I gained valuable hands-on experience in assisting patients on their path to recovery. Secondly, I had the opportunity to work as a student ergonomist at Arc'teryx, focusing on optimizing workplace ergonomics to enhance employee well-being.

After graduating, I joined a mobile physiotherapy company, providing personalized Kinesiology services to the community through home visits. Additionally, I worked regularly in a long-term care home, contributing to the well-being and mobility of the residents with long-term complex chronic conditions. Seeking new challenges, I furthered my career at a private gym called Vaughan's Fitness, where I worked as a dedicated Kinesiologist, supporting clients of all ages and varied fitness levels in achieving their goals.

Driven by my passion and commitment to helping individuals regain mobility and improve their quality of life, I took the leap and co-founded my own mobile Kinesiology company called First Step Mobility. Through my company, I provide personalized, client-centered services, delivering tailored exercise programs, injury prevention strategies, and active rehabilitation solutions.

I am dedicated to staying current in my field and enhancing my expertise. In addition to my BCAK certification, I have also earned an Occupational Ergonomics Certificate from SFU, equipping me with a comprehensive understanding of ergonomic principles in various work environments.

I believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to take the first step towards a healthier and more active life. It is my mission to empower clients with the tools and knowledge they need to reach their goals, promoting overall well-being and vitality.

Getting started is often the most difficult part. Let's take that first step together towards achieving optimal health!
