My relevant expertise has been qualified in Federal Court as being in the field of Biomechanics, Biomechanical Engineering, Biomechanical Testing, and Biomechanical Incident Reconstruction, based on my education, training and approximately fourteen (14) years of experience.
I received a B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University specializing in biomechanics, as well as an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Wayne State University specializing in injury biomechanics. Moreover, I have a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calgary, specializing in tissue injury and repair.

Currently, I am the Principal of GTD Scientific Inc.. At GTD, I provide biomechanical engineering, incident reconstruction, and product design testing services for clients, which include governmental entities, educational institutions, corporations, and attorneys. GTD Scientific is also an accredited institute for providing Continuing Education Credits for many health-related Associations and Lawyers.

The overall goal of my research is to identify mechanisms of injury, and assess incidents and products from a biomechanical engineering perspective, so that injury causation can be properly identified and, if applicable, preventive measures can be objectively assessed and applied.

In addition, I was selected from an international pool of applicants to be the engineering host for Viacom Networks hit television show “Deadliest Warrior”. In this high-profile position, I assessed the engineering aspects and injury potential of weapons used throughout history. The series filmed thirty-three episodes (1-hour format) and continues to air throughout the world in over sixteen countries and thirty-two different languages.
